Lahaina, Maui [November 20, 2025] – The Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch has unveiled upgraded facilities under the shared management of USTA Hawaii Pacific (USTA) and The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows enhancing the beloved West Maui tennis destination for both community and guests of the resort, garnering the coveted ‘Outstanding Tennis Facility of the Year Award’ by USTA Hawaii Pacific.
Wide-ranging upgrades to The Royal Tennis Ranch include the resurfacing of 11 courts, pickleball lining, and industry compliance. These improvements ensure that the courts are safe, modern, and enjoyable for daily use by residents, resort guests, and seasonal visitors. The Lahaina Junior Tennis Club has found a new home at The Tennis Ranch, allowing young athletes to continue pursuing their passion for tennis in a supportive environment.
The Tennis Ranch also hosted Hawaii Food & Wine Festival’s first Pickleball Tournament and is set to welcome the 2026 World ITF Junior Tennis Tournament. Boasting 11 high-quality courts and a 3,500-seat stadium court, The Tennis Ranch is a premier venue for sporting events on Maui, generating positive economic impact for the island and the resort. Cathy Nicoloff Named
“Head Tennis Teaching Professional”
The USTA Hawaii Pacific and The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows Tennis Ranch Appoint Cathleen E. Nicoloff as Head Teaching Professional
Lahaina, Hawaii – June 3, 2025. The USTA Hawaii Pacific and The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows are pleased to announce the appointment of Cathleen E. Nicoloff as Head Teaching Professional at The Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch beginning July 1, 2025. Cathy brings an extensive background in tennis and pickleball instruction, program development, and facility management to our organization.
Cathy is an RSPA Elite Tennis Professional with over 30 years of experience, including positions at prestigious locations such as The Wailea Tennis Club, Kapalua Tennis Garden and The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows Tennis Ranch. She is also an IFP Certified Pickleball Pro & Coach/Tester for PB Certification. Her experience includes directing adult and junior programs, USTA league coaching, creating programs for tourists, and managing pro-shops.
Cathy has an impressive record of achievements, including being named USPTA Hawaii Pacific Division Professional of the Year multiple times and receiving the RSPA National Small Division of the Year Award in 2023. Cathy has experience running tournaments, camps, training sessions, lessons and clinics. She has hosted numerous high-profile events, including the Wailea 50K Mens Challenger and training sessions with tennis legends like Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi.
